The Internet is changing fast, but a lot of the development is not driven by commercial enterprise. Behind the hype of the commercial giants, there is a whole wide world of Open Source developments, which drives a major part of the changing scene of the Internet. Open Source Content Management Systems are running on PHP code and MYSQL databases and provide a complete platform to start interactive websites without the need to know HTML or any other sort of coding. Interactive web sites are design independent and feature many features, like Blogs, Interactive news management, calendars, FAQ, Feedback forms, file uploads/downloads, community forums, classified applications, e-commerce, etc. etc. Dr. Marco presented a an introduction to this unknown world.
